About the Author

Bruce Dalton Palmer taught Biology for thirty-three years. After retiring, he and his late wife Karen, toured the locations of the novel with the Minnesota Historical Society. Inspired by his great-grandfather’s memoir and a lifelong interest in Native American and frontier history, Bruce spent the next ten years researching and writing this novel.
